Ahmed Al Harthy concluded the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup season with a commendable return to the podium in the bronze race at the Autodromo do Algarve on October 17. This achievement came after the outstanding performance of Al Harthy and his teammates, Javier Saguera and Callan Williams.

Excellent Performance in the Races

The race, which started at 17:00 local time, took place under the night sky and among a large crowd of spectators. The Oman Racing team with Century Motorsport managed to secure third place in this race, achieving ninth place in the bronze championship standings and was only one point away from the top eight teams.

Al Harthy's team showed a very good performance in three practice and qualifying sessions held on October 16, finishing with an average time of fourth. Saguera achieved fourth place in the bronze category in the first session with a time of 1:43.358 seconds. Al Harthy in the second session with a time of 1:43.545 seconds and Williams in the third session with a time of 1:42.483 seconds contributed to an average time of 1:43.128 seconds.

Race Challenges and Final Success

At the start of the race with 61 cars on the grid, Al Harthy managed to achieve sixth place in the bronze category in the first lap. Despite various challenges, he quickly moved up to seventh place by the sixth lap and then, with a smart maneuver, reached sixth place. As time passed, he was able to overtake his rivals and return to fourth place.

In the first half of the race, several full yellow flags were waved due to various incidents on the track. However, Al Harthy, maintaining calm and focus, managed to overtake his rivals and reach fifth place. As the race neared its end, Saguera, with excellent timing, secured third place, and finally, Williams crossed the finish line in third place, 25 seconds ahead of his closest competitor.

At the end of the race, Ahmed Al Harthy expressed his happiness, saying: "It feels amazing to be on the podium again, at one of the toughest tracks we have ever raced on. It is always a proud moment to see the Oman flag on the podium, and I dedicate this result to all my supporters."
