The holding of the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia represents a shift in the Formula One race calendar. This event, due to the relocation from the Malaysian Grand Prix, will be held six thousand kilometers away from Manama and will be known as the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Challenges of Holding the Race
The Sepang International Circuit is recognized as one of the most popular tracks among fans and Formula One drivers. The design of this circuit offers numerous overtaking opportunities and technical challenges. However, holding this race in Sepang has posed challenges for fans and organizers. While this race is held under the title of Bahrain Grand Prix, lap records at this circuit will not be comparable to those at other tracks, and for this reason, this event is considered an independent race.

Bahrain's Investment and International Collaborations
Bahrain has made significant investments with the aim of hosting this Grand Prix and maintaining its name. James Vowles, the team principal of Williams, referred to the vast amount of facilities transferred from Bahrain to Sepang and emphasized that this event is the result of extensive collaboration between Bahraini and Malaysian officials. Over 500 Bahraini executives and officials from the Bahrain Motorsport Federation will work alongside their Malaysian counterparts to execute this race. Additionally, Gulf Air, as the main sponsor of the event, has prepared various programs for fans.
Holding this race as an opportunity to return to the official Formula One calendar demonstrates Bahrain's efforts to strengthen its position in this field. However, operational challenges such as tire wear and logistical issues may affect the quality of the race. Ultimately, the success of this event depends on the coordination and cooperation of all stakeholders.
