Bayern Munich, in a stunning display, overcame RB Leipzig with a score of 6-1 to return to the top of the Bundesliga table. This victory was crucial following two consecutive draws against Augsburg and Viking Stavanger, demonstrating that the team under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel has recovered well.

Bayern's Powerful Start and Diaz's Brilliance

Luis Diaz scored the first goal in the 12th minute with a precise shot after receiving a pass from Joshua Kimmich. This goal marked the beginning of an extraordinary night for Bayern and Diaz. In the 26th minute, Aleksandar Pavlovic, in collaboration with Diaz, scored the second goal, and Mikail Elysee increased Bayern's lead to 3-0 with a shot from 18 meters in the 34th minute.

Leipzig, struggling against Bayern's constant pressure and attacks, failed to score in the first half. Only the brilliance of their 16-year-old goalkeeper, Martin Vandewort, prevented further goals. At the end of the first half, Bayern went to the locker room with a 3-0 lead.

Bayern's Dominance Continues and Diaz's Hat-Trick

Bayern continued their momentum in the second half, and Diaz scored his second goal in the 47th minute. Shortly after, Harry Kane scored the team's fifth goal in the 53rd minute, benefiting from a pass by Nathaniel Brown. In the 69th minute, Diaz completed his hat-trick with a long-range shot. Leipzig managed to reduce the embarrassment of the defeat with a goal from Maximovich in stoppage time.

Martin Demichelis, Leipzig's head coach, said after the match: "Today we were a completely different team. We were very passive without the ball and performed poorly in attack. We must congratulate Bayern. One can lose here, but not in the way we saw today."

This victory brought Bayern Munich back to the top of the Bundesliga table with 14 points from six matches, placing them one point above Borussia Dortmund. In contrast, Leipzig fell to seventh place with 9 points, while Freiburg, with one game less, is only one point behind them.

In other matches, Borussia Dortmund lost the top spot with a goalless draw against Union Berlin. Mainz climbed to fifth place with a 1-0 victory over Schalke, Wolfsburg defeated Augsburg 4-3, and Hamburg overcame Stuttgart 1-0.
