Developments in West Indies Cricket
Gayle also mentioned the West Indies' record chase of 250 against India in the second T20I match. He emphasized the performance of Shai Hope, the team captain, as well as Sherfane Rutherford, stating: "I must commend Shai Hope, the team captain, for leading from the front. He is in phenomenal form, and we also witnessed good performances from Rutherford and other players. However, it seems to be a tough job for the bowlers in Indian conditions."
Gayle believes that winning the toss in these conditions is very important and added: "These pitches are very flat, and the presence of humidity makes it even harder for the bowlers. That's why I'm happy that the West Indies managed to level the series, and I hope they continue on this path by winning the toss and achieving victory in the series."
This year, Shai Hope has scored 494 runs in 14 T20Is at an average of 44.91 and a strike rate of 145.72, making him one of the top scorers in the West Indies team.
