Ronaldo's Challenges and Response to Critics
Ronaldo referred to the criticisms made by some media and individuals in his statements, saying: "I can't always be 100 percent honest; sometimes I have to act politically. Some channels have tried for years to 'kill' me, but they have no chance, not even with a bullet. I have gotten used to this. I have been doing this for 20 years, and I know who I am and why children see me as a role model. There will always be critics."
He also emphasized that hatred does not harm him and that his motivation to continue playing comes from his fans. Ronaldo said: "In any case, the reality is that the lack of appreciation from a few does not affect me. I feel the love of the people of Portugal. I only think about the present... I know many want me to leave now, but my motivation comes from those who still want to see me on the field."
Ronaldo's Future and Goals
This legendary striker also mentioned the support of the Portuguese Football Federation and coach Jorge Jesus, saying: "They trust me." He also hinted that this might be his last year in his career, stating: "I know I can still offer a lot, not only with goals but also off the field. This may be my last year, but if so, I will announce it at the right time."
Ronaldo concluded by saying: "My goal is twofold: to reach 1000 goals and to win the Nations League. This is a new era."
