Ed Sheeran stated regarding this matter: "The removal of Macklemore from the tour was the organizer's decision, not mine." According to the Messina Touring Group, which is responsible for organizing this tour, venue owners have informed the organizers that they will not allow a concert featuring Macklemore to take place.
Macklemore has always been known for his support of Palestinians and criticism of Israel's military actions in Gaza and the occupation of the West Bank.
