Felix Sanchez, the former head coach of the Qatar national football team, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Bahrain national football team. This appointment comes at a time when the Asian Championship is approaching, and it is expected that Sanchez, with his rich experiences in Asian football, will have a positive impact on Bahrain's performance.
History and Experiences of Sanchez
Felix Sanchez, who has a successful track record in leading the Qatar national team, has managed to bring significant successes to this team in recent years. With a deep understanding of Asian football, he has the ability to lead national teams, and it seems that his selection for Bahrain could herald a bright future.
Upcoming Challenges and Reactions
Following this change, Khodadad Azizi, a former player of the Iranian national team, expressed dissatisfaction with the situation of Iranian teams in international competitions and pointed out the problems that Iranian teams face when traveling to Oman and Qatar. The Iranian Football Federation has also responded to these criticisms, providing explanations and stating that it has made efforts to obtain direct flight permits for the teams.
The Gol Gohar Sirjan football team is facing difficulties in traveling to Manama ahead of their match against Al-Muharraq Bahrain in the AFC Champions League. This team has to navigate a complicated route that includes flying from Sirjan to Tehran, then to Najaf and Baghdad, and finally to Muscat. These conditions could affect the players' performance.
On the other hand, the Tractor team is also facing a challenging journey to Oman for the Asian Elite League. This team has traveled from Tabriz to Najaf and then taken a bus to Baghdad before flying to Muscat.
Meanwhile, the Esteghlal football team has managed to bypass flight restrictions by using a government VIP RJ aircraft for their trip to Qatar to play against Al-Gharafa, reducing their travel time. This comes at a time when the recent US sanctions against the aviation industry of the Islamic Republic have created problems for international travel.
It is expected that with the appointment of Felix Sanchez as the head coach of Bahrain, this team will be able to perform better in upcoming competitions while also addressing the existing challenges for Iranian teams.
