Izadi also referred to Oman's role in these matters, stating that Oman, as a member of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), is committed to adhering to international legal obligations. He pointed out that Oman is somewhat caught in a web of pressures from the Gulf countries and is often used as a tool by other nations.
He also believes that any agreement or understanding that proceeds without U.S. consent will face serious obstacles, and this situation could delay diplomatic meetings or subject them to numerous amendments.
