Criticism of Refereeing and Controversies Surrounding the Match
Despite Real Madrid's decisive victory, criticisms were raised by Sevilla's coach, Luis Garcia Plaza, regarding the refereeing of the match. He pointed out that his team should have benefited from a numerical advantage in the early minutes of the game, as Güler should have been sent off for his severe foul on a Sevilla player. This issue fueled recent tensions in the world of Spanish football, especially considering Real Madrid's criticisms of refereeing in recent weeks.
Fortunately, Real Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabeu passionately supported their team and chanted slogans in criticism of Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga. This support reflects the fans' concerns about the state of refereeing in Spanish football.
With this victory, Real Madrid reduced the gap with Barcelona, who sit at the top of the table, but still trail their traditional rival by six points. This win was a positive step for José Mourinho, Real Madrid's head coach, who expressed satisfaction with his team's performance and emphasized the importance of teamwork.
As the El Clasico approaches next week, Real Madrid must strive to maintain this good form and improve their position in the table. This match could be decisive and impact the teams' chances of winning the championship.
