Carlos Queiroz, the former head coach of the Ghana national team, decided to terminate his collaboration with the Ghana Football Federation due to a lack of facilities and the absence of a suitable training camp. This decision came after two consecutive defeats for the national team in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, and rumors are circulating about his transfer to one of the Arab teams in the Persian Gulf region, particularly Bahrain.
Reasons for Queiroz's Departure from Ghana
In recent weeks, news of Queiroz's departure from the Ghana national team has surfaced. This separation was due to the team's poor performance in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and two consecutive losses to rival countries. However, the main reason for Queiroz's decision relates to the lack of facilities. According to one official from the Ghana Football Federation, Queiroz was astonished by the absence of a training camp for the Ghana national team and regarded this issue as a significant barrier to the team's success.
Negotiations with the Bahrain Football Federation
At the same time, rumors have emerged regarding Queiroz's negotiations with the Bahrain Football Federation. Unofficial sources report positive discussions between this Portuguese coach and Bahraini officials. These negotiations could lead to a new collaboration between Queiroz and Bahrain football. As an experienced coach with a brilliant track record, Queiroz could help develop Bahraini football and provide a new perspective for this team.
Queiroz, who was previously the head coach of the Iran national team, faced numerous challenges in Ghana during this period. As an experienced coach, he expected his team to have adequate facilities for training and preparation, but this issue became a major problem due to a lack of resources and infrastructure. Queiroz believes that the absence of a suitable training camp and practicing at the same stadium where matches are held negatively impacted the players' performance and has left him disappointed.
Consequences of Queiroz's Departure
Queiroz's departure from the Ghana national team could have significant repercussions for football in this country. The Ghana Football Federation must seek a new head coach capable of addressing upcoming challenges and improving the team's performance. On the other hand, if Queiroz joins Bahraini football, this move could lead to positive developments for this team and football in the region. It is expected that the Bahrain Football Federation will leverage Queiroz's experience and knowledge to achieve new successes on the international stage.
