Kuwait's Advancement in Hosting International Events
Kuwait obtained the rights to host this tournament in May of this year after the International Padel Federation (FIP) announced that this event has been upgraded from P1 status to Major status. This upgrade reflects Kuwait's ability to host major international competitions and comply with the highest technical and organizational standards.
Government Support and the Role of BNK Holding Group
Badri Al-Kharafi, Chairman of the BNK Holding Group, announced on Thursday that all organizational and technical preparations for hosting this tournament under the supervision of the International Federation have been completed. He added that the BNK Group has provided all necessary resources for the success of this global event in recent months.
Al-Kharafi expressed gratitude for the government's support, especially from the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, and emphasized the collaboration of this organization with the organizers to ensure the success of this important event. He also mentioned his pride in hosting this tournament during the youth and sports season in Kuwait and stated that the organizing group is striving to present an event worthy of Kuwait's status in international sports.
He also stated that holding this tournament aligns with the directives of the country's political leadership to strengthen Kuwait's position as a hub for hosting global sports events and to support activities that enhance tourism and economic activities in the country.
Al-Kharafi emphasized the importance of this event in creating technical and exciting competitions for Kuwaiti fans and padel enthusiasts, noting that this event will help promote the sport and encourage young people to take it up.
Hosting such events demonstrates the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors to deliver major sports events and showcase Kuwait's organizational capabilities.
