He stated that Tehran is currently reviewing the opinions presented by the American side and emphasized that Iran's proposed plan remains on the agenda.

Iran's Conditions for Reopening the Strait of Hormuz

عراقچی clearly stated Iran's conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and added: "These conditions are not only not strange, but include matters that the United States had committed to in previous agreements and negotiations." The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized that if there is a genuine will from the U.S. side to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, these conditions can be implemented within a few days, thus paving the way for the reopening of this strategic passage.

He also announced that if the specified conditions are met, the Strait of Hormuz will reopen on the sixth day, and negotiations will resume on the seventh day. عراقچی, referring to the responses provided by the U.S. to Iran's proposals, noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran still insists on its proposed framework.

Iran's Defensive Readiness and Dignified Diplomacy

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran further referred to recent threats from the U.S. and emphasized the country's readiness to defend itself, stating: "Iran will not bow to threats and will always be ready to defend itself." He pointed out the valuable experiences of Iran compared to past wars and emphasized the Islamic Republic's greater readiness to defend itself.

عراقچی also emphasized that defensive readiness and pursuing diplomacy do not contradict each other, and the Islamic Republic of Iran is also prepared for diplomacy, provided that this path is dignified and honorable and secures the rights of the Iranian people.

In another part of his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran referred to the topic of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and expressed hope that with the transfer of the presidency of the organization to Iraq, this organization can play an effective role in the issues of the Islamic world and the disputes among Islamic countries.

He also mentioned that regarding the resolutions of the meeting and the final statement, he said: "At the time of this interview, the resolutions had not yet been finalized, and the drafting of the final statement was also incomplete." عراقچی emphasized the necessity of fairness and balance in the resolutions related to Yemen, stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran cannot join unjust resolutions and will declare its right to reservation.
