The construction operations of the Persian Gulf water transfer treatment plant have made significant progress, reaching about 50%. The representative of Shiraz and Zarqan in the Islamic Consultative Assembly announced this news and emphasized the importance of this project for providing drinking water and improving the climate conditions in the region.

Securing Rial and Foreign Currency Financing

The member of parliament reported on ongoing efforts to secure rial and foreign currency financing for this project, stating: "This project is being implemented with the aim of accelerating the provision of drinking and agricultural water for Fars province and its surrounding areas." He also pointed to the necessity of international cooperation in securing financial resources and added: "To achieve this goal, more support from governmental and private institutions is needed."

The Importance of the Project for the Region

The Persian Gulf water transfer treatment plant is considered a strategic project that can have many positive impacts on the quality of life for residents in these areas. This project, in addition to providing drinking water, will also help improve agricultural conditions and increase food production in the region. The member of parliament pointed out that providing quality drinking water can lead to a reduction in internal migration and an increase in resident satisfaction, emphasizing the need to expedite the implementation of this project.

Since the Fars region faces serious challenges in water supply, this project could serve as a model for other regions of the country. Given climate changes and population growth, the need for water supply has become a fundamental priority, and the successful implementation of this project could pave the way for many existing problems.

The mentioned treatment plant is set to be designed and built as one of the largest treatment plants in the country with high capacity, and with the progress made, hopes for its completion in the near future have increased. The representative of Shiraz and Zarqan in the Islamic Consultative Assembly expressed hope that with the cooperation of all stakeholders, this project will soon be operational, and we will witness positive changes in the lives of the region's people.
