The Gol Gohar Sirjan football team, representing Iran in the AFC Champions League, is scheduled to face Al-Muharraq of Bahrain on Wednesday, October 14. However, the lack of visa issuance for the team members and the absence of a definitive response to their entry request to Manama have created serious challenges for their travel.

Uncertainty in Visa and Travel Status

Recent information indicates that the visas for the Gol Gohar team members have not yet been issued, and this issue has been complicated by the closure of offices in Bahrain in recent days. Gol Gohar officials are trying to explore options for direct travel from Tehran to Bahrain, but until the necessary permits are obtained, this plan remains uncertain.

Travel Complexities and Planning Challenges

The problems Gol Gohar faces are not limited to ticket procurement; the club also needs to address visa issues, entry permits, and flight route planning. If a direct flight is not secured, alternative routes that may take longer are being considered. Of course, any indirect route means an increase in transit time and more challenges in preparing the team.

Gol Gohar had previously corresponded with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) requesting to hold the match on neutral ground, but this request was denied. The team is now seeking an effective solution for their presence in Bahrain. The uncertain travel situation could negatively impact the preparation of Mehdi Rahmati's players, as the timing of departure and travel duration affects the players' rest and training opportunities.

While Gol Gohar struggles with these challenges, the teams Esteghlal and Tractor are also facing similar issues in their Asian travels. Tractor is trying to secure a direct flight to Oman, while Esteghlal is looking for a direct flight option to Qatar. If a direct flight is not secured, the Istanbul route has been considered as one of the alternative travel options for Iran's representatives.

Gol Gohar needs to determine the visa status and obtain the necessary permits for entry into Bahrain to finalize their travel schedule and preparations as soon as possible.
