Russian diesel tankers that were en route to the United States have changed their course towards Brazil and the Mediterranean Sea. This information has been obtained from maritime company data and ship traffic websites. The tankers left the port of "Primorsk" in the Baltic Sea last month and had announced their destination as the eastern shores of the United States.

Agreements and Logistical Challenges

These developments come after U.S. President Donald Trump reduced sanctions on Russian oil last month and reached an agreement with Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, to supply a large quantity of diesel to the United States. This agreement was made at a time when diesel prices in the United States had sharply increased, leading to negative reactions in Ukraine and Europe.

Despite this agreement, logistical challenges due to ongoing sanctions against Russia, particularly regarding diesel supply, were significant. Reports indicate that the amount of diesel shipped constitutes only a portion of the daily demand in the United States.

Reactions and Warnings

While some tankers have changed course to new destinations, "Kyrill Dmitriev," a Russian representative and negotiator, stated that the tankers bound for the United States are still on their way. He called this claim a "lie" and informed the media that the tankers are heading towards the United States.

Putin's spokesperson, "Dmitry Peskov," also emphasized that the details of the shipments are a business matter and cannot be disclosed publicly. He added, "All diesels will find their customers." Meanwhile, another ship is still en route to the United States in the North Atlantic, but its destination has changed from New York to an unspecified location.

In the meantime, "Mikie Sherrill," the Governor of New Jersey, has warned port and terminal operators not to accept ships carrying this fuel and stated that any attempts to exploit illegal Russian fuel trade will face severe penalties.

In a letter dated October 27, "Richard Blumenthal," the Senator from Connecticut, also warned transportation companies that they are prohibited from violating U.S. sanctions and that no president can unilaterally disregard a law enacted by Congress.
