The Gol Gohar football team of Iran is set to face Al-Muharraq Bahrain, with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) having changed the venue of this match from Manama, Bahrain to Al-Seeb Stadium in Oman. This match was scheduled to take place on October 14, 2023, in the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2.
Reasons for Venue Change
This decision was made due to the problems that the Bahrainis faced in issuing visas for the Gol Gohar team members. It seems that the inability to complete administrative processes and issue visas has prevented this match from being held in Bahrain, forcing the Asian Football Confederation to change the venue for this game.

Challenges for Gol Gohar's Travel to Oman
Although the venue for the match has changed, there are other challenges for the Gol Gohar team. The manner of the team's travel to Oman remains uncertain. Given the closure of some flight routes, Gol Gohar is trying to arrange a direct flight to Oman for its team members. Currently, negotiations are underway in this regard.
If a direct flight to Oman cannot be arranged, the Gol Gohar team members will have to first travel to a transit country and then proceed to Oman. In this context, Turkey has been considered as one of the options for this route, and it is likely that Gol Gohar will first travel to this country and then head to Oman.
Gol Gohar's Previous Performance in the AFC Champions League
In their first match in the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2, Gol Gohar drew 0-0 with Al-Jazira of the UAE. Now, this team must face Al-Muharraq Bahrain in their second match on October 14. This match, which will be held in Oman due to the current circumstances, is particularly important for Gol Gohar to demonstrate better performance than in their first match.
Considering the change of venue and travel conditions, Gol Gohar must plan more carefully to achieve success in this match.
