Impact of Regional Tensions
Despite this confirmation, some drivers, including four-time world champion Max Verstappen, have expressed concerns. Verstappen stated that under the current circumstances, considering the wars near the region, he would prefer the season not to end in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. He also pointed out that this issue goes beyond contractual matters and that regional conditions must be taken into account.
In this context, one of the options proposed for the Emirati race has been to move it to Imola in Italy. However, Domenicali emphasized that everything is currently being planned and organized, and the teams and drivers are kept informed of the situation.
Formula One has always faced various challenges, and this time, political and military tensions in the region could have impacts on the decisions and future plans of the sport. Nevertheless, Formula One, emphasizing safety issues and maintaining favorable conditions for holding races, is striving to conclude the season in the best possible way.
