Conference Held to Enhance Medical Collaborations

This two-day conference was organized by the Kuwait Bone Surgery Association and coincided with the fourth scientific research day of the Kuwait Bone Surgery Council. Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, the Minister of Health of Kuwait, emphasized the Ministry of Health's strong support for specialized scientific conferences in a message read by Dr. Al-Mandhar Al-Hassawi, Deputy Undersecretary for Public Health Affairs.

Dr. Al-Hassawi stated that such gatherings provide opportunities for experience exchange among medical specialists and help develop clinical skills and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations to improve healthcare services in Kuwait. He emphasized that the Ministry of Health is working to develop the healthcare system and keep pace with international medical advancements, especially with the expansion of robotic and specialized surgeries and the establishment of trauma centers in the country's healthcare facilities.

The Importance of Coordination Among Surgical Specialties

Dr. Al-Hassawi also stressed the importance of coordination among surgical specialties such as general surgery, vascular surgery, and ear, nose, and throat surgery to ensure patient health and safety. He praised the capabilities of the graduates of the Kuwait Bone Surgery Council and their contribution to the healthcare system, congratulating the doctors who recently passed their exams and encouraging them to continue serving patients and the country with commitment.

Dr. Ali Mardashti, President of the Kuwait Bone Surgery Association, emphasized the association's commitment to supporting continuous medical education and strengthening collaboration with medical communities at local and international levels to improve clinical practices and patient care. He described the conference as a specialized platform for sharing knowledge, reviewing the latest clinical advancements, and enhancing the skills of the national medical staff, especially in treating injuries and fractures.

Dr. Ali Bahman, the conference president, reminded attendees of the necessity for collaboration among medical specialties in light of exceptional conditions and rapidly evolving challenges. He added that this conference is designed to promote teamwork in treating injuries and fractures and to create an integrated system based on shared specialties. Bahman emphasized that serving the country is a collective responsibility that requires commitment and prioritizing patient interests.
