The meeting of senior military officials from Gulf Cooperation Council countries was held on Saturday, November 9, in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. This summit was convened to activate joint military cooperation among the southern neighbors of Iran, with the aim of strengthening defense relations, brotherhood, and coordination among the armed forces of member countries.
Review of Security and Defense Issues
In this meeting, the chiefs of staff of the armed forces of Gulf Cooperation Council countries discussed key issues related to security challenges and threats. Sheikh Dhiab Al-Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Army, stated at the summit: "The dangers of the current stage and the unconventional attacks we are witnessing place us all before a historic responsibility to be prepared with complete solidarity, close coordination, and joint cooperation to counter all these threats that threaten the security and stability of the Gulf countries."

Strengthening Defense Systems and Military Cooperation
This summit also emphasized the importance of strengthening air defense systems and full coordination among all these systems in Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Military officials stressed the need to create the necessary conditions for establishing the foundations of joint military action among these countries. This issue is particularly important in the current situation where concerns about military attacks have increased.
Given past experiences and missile and drone attacks from the Islamic Republic against these countries, military officials are concerned about how they can defend their airspace, infrastructure, and vital facilities if military attacks by the United States against the Iranian regime resume, and continue their economic growth and development plans.
This summit took place while some Gulf Cooperation Council countries, including Bahrain, demonstrated that they possess a successful and effective air defense system during the previous attacks from the Islamic Republic. This could serve as a strength against security threats.
