Ismail Baqai, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, stated that the Muscat meeting was not held at the request of Saudi Arabia and that the agreement between Iran and Oman regarding the securing of maritime routes and related sovereignty issues has been finalized. Baqai emphasized that Tehran will decide on how to announce or register this agreement in consultation with Muscat.
