Mutual Positions of Iran and the U.S.
The United States is calling for the inclusion of nuclear issues from the very beginning of the negotiations, while Tehran insists that the U.S. must first end the port blockades and lift oil export sanctions. Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, announced on Wednesday that Tehran is still in close contact with intermediaries to explore ideas that could help implement Iran's seven-day proposal to end the war in the Middle East.
On Thursday, former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that communications from Vice President J.D. Vance with Iran pertain to the provision of medical supplies, which has recently been linked to efforts to revive peace negotiations.
These developments come at a time when the Middle East region is facing numerous challenges, and hopes for achieving peace are still under review and contemplation. Qatari negotiators have returned to Tehran with the aim of facilitating discussions and creating a foundation for a sustainable agreement.
