Oman and Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of energy, which will help strengthen economic relations and develop mutual cooperation in this area. The agreement was signed at a ceremony attended by Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals of Oman, and Anantaporn Kanjanarat, Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Thailand.

Objectives and Areas of Cooperation

This agreement stems from the mutual desire of both countries to develop cooperation in the energy sector. Oman and Thailand are seeking to strengthen economic relations and create broader opportunities for cooperation between their institutions and companies. In this context, the agreement will lead to the establishment of an "Oman-Thailand Energy Policy Dialogue," which will bring together representatives from the private sectors of both countries.

Educational Interactions and Experience Exchange

This agreement also supports the exchange of training courses and expert visits between the two countries. Cooperation in research and studies aimed at developing the workforce and exchanging knowledge and experience in the energy sector is also part of the objectives of this agreement. With the development of these collaborations, it is expected that new capacities for energy resource development and increased productivity will be created in both countries.

Given global developments and the need for sustainable energy, this agreement can be seen as a positive step towards establishing long-term and effective cooperation in the energy sector. The two countries can optimize the use of energy resources and reduce dependence on non-renewable resources by leveraging each other's experiences and capabilities.

Developing cooperation in the energy sector is not only important for Oman and Thailand but can also serve as a model for other countries. This agreement reflects the willingness of both countries to participate in joint projects and utilize energy resources sustainably and effectively.

It is hoped that this agreement will lead to the formation of effective and lasting cooperation between Oman and Thailand in the energy sector and gradually expand to other economic and commercial areas.
