The Sultanate of Oman today continues its efforts to strengthen the presence of national products in international markets by participating with a number of Omani companies in the "WorldFood Moscow 2026" exhibition held in the capital of Russia. This exhibition is part of Oman's efforts to create new export channels and establish business partnerships with importers and distributors in the Russian market and neighboring markets.

Oman's Strategy for Diversifying Export Markets

Oman's presence at this exhibition aligns with the Sultanate's strategic approach to diversify its export markets and leverage international exhibitions suitable for national products. This opportunity allows Omani companies to establish direct connections with buyers, importers, and distributors, and also enables them to familiarize themselves with market trends, consumer needs, and available business opportunities.

Mohammed Khalaf Al-Hamdani, an export promotion specialist at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion and supervisor of the Omani pavilion at this exhibition, emphasized that participation in WorldFood Moscow is an important opportunity to enhance the access of Omani products to the Russian market and open new horizons for national companies to establish sustainable business partnerships.

The Role of Omani Companies in Facilitating Trade

He added that the Omani pavilion acts as a platform for direct communication between national companies and importers, distributors, and representatives of commercial sectors, thereby helping to raise awareness about the quality and diversity of Omani products and exploring the opportunities available in the Russian market and neighboring markets.

Al-Hamdani explained that the goal of this participation is to achieve tangible results beyond promoting products through direct business meetings, understanding market entry needs, exploring contract and distribution opportunities, and assisting Omani companies in building a network of business relationships that support the growth of exports and their expansion in international markets.

Khalil Abdullah Al-Balushi, General Manager of Ground Terminals and Business Development at Al-Madina Logistics Services Company, emphasized that the company's participation stems from its role as a logistics partner for Omani companies present at the exhibition and benefits from integrated logistical support that ensures products and shipments are delivered on time and with the highest standards of refrigeration, quality, and supply chain efficiency.

He added that WorldFood Moscow is an important platform for exploring new logistical and commercial cooperation pathways, and during this exhibition, the company is seeking opportunities to provide international transportation, customs clearance, warehousing, and distribution services to Russian and Omani companies, facilitating the movement of food products and various goods and opening direct and efficient logistical corridors between the Sultanate of Oman and Russia.

On the other hand, Ayman Hamad Al-Hadhri, Director of Regulatory Affairs at Oman National Biscuit Manufacturing Company, stated that the goal of this company's participation is to seek new markets for its products and establish connections with reputable representatives and distributors in the Russian market, which will help improve the distribution of this company's products and expand its export operations.

He explained that the company offers a diverse range of biscuits, snacks, and waffles and has a strong presence in over 40 countries, especially in the Gulf markets, Africa, and the Levant, and has recently expanded its export activities to the United States and Canada.

Hilal Suleiman Al-Gharibi, Director of Golden Plants Company, also stated that the company's participation in WorldFood Moscow aims to open the Russian market to its products and increase awareness of Omani products among importers, distributors, and retail chains, and also seeks representatives and business partners who can help expand the access of this company's products to Russian consumers.

Azhar Hamoud Al-Hunaidi, Executive Director of Plastic Industries Projects at Bin Ahmed, emphasized that participation in WorldFood Moscow is not limited to showcasing products but is an opportunity to gain initial insights into the Russian market and customer needs and to establish direct connections with new importers and distributors.

He added that the company currently exports its products to several countries and is seeking to expand its export scope and enter the Russian market and neighboring markets through its participation in the exhibition. He stated that after the exhibition, the company will follow up with interested customers and provide suitable samples and business proposals and will initiate trial orders that will lay the groundwork for building sustainable export relationships.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, representing "Oman Export", continues its efforts to enhance the competitiveness of Oman's non-oil exports and expand their presence in regional and global markets, empowering Omani exporters, seeking markets with promising opportunities, organizing participation in international exhibitions and trade events, as well as facilitating communication with international importers and buyers and establishing sustainable business partnerships.

"Oman Export" also supports national companies in accessing new markets and diversifying their export destinations and increasing awareness of the quality and competitiveness of Omani products, thereby strengthening their position in global markets and increasing the share of non-oil exports.
