Maruti Suzuki India Limited recorded its highest monthly sales in October 2026 with 276,120 units sold, which is a 25 percent increase compared to last year. This success was achieved amid high seasonal demand in the market.
Increase in Domestic Sales and Exports
This leading automaker in India also recorded its highest monthly domestic sales with 216,789 units sold, including passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. This figure represents a 20 percent increase compared to 180,675 units in October 2025.

In the company's official report, it stated: "In October 2026, Maruti Suzuki India sold a total of 276,120 vehicles, the highest monthly sales volume in the company's history. Domestic sales also reached their highest level at 216,789 units." Additionally, sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) reached 9,459 units, and exports totaled 49,872 units.
Growth in Passenger Vehicle Segment
Domestic passenger vehicle sales increased by approximately 20.5 percent to 212,384 units in October 2026, compared to 176,318 units in the same month last year. Among passenger vehicles, utility vehicle sales rose by 26 percent to 97,787 units from 77,571 units last year.
Sales of small cars, compact, and mid-size vehicles also increased by 18.4 percent to 100,877 units from 85,210 units in October 2025. Van sales, including the Eeco model, slightly increased to 13,720 units from 13,537 units last year. In the light commercial vehicle segment, sales of the Super Carry model rose to 4,405 units from 4,357 units.
Exports in October 2026 saw a significant increase of 59.3 percent to 49,872 units compared to 31,304 units in the same month last year. Sales to other OEMs also increased to 9,459 units from 8,915 units.
For the financial period from April to October 2026-27, Maruti Suzuki's total sales reached 1,655,498 units, representing a 27.4 percent increase compared to 1,299,629 units in the same period last year. The October sales figures mark a new monthly record for Maruti Suzuki, driven by high domestic passenger vehicle sales and exports contributing to its overall growth.
