On Friday night, people in Bahrain held protest gatherings in several cities and regions of the country in response to the detention and trial of Shia scholars. These gatherings took place especially ahead of the trial session of Bahrain's religious scholars on November 8 (17 Aban), a trial that will be conducted by the judiciary of the Al Khalifa regime.

Widespread Protests and Gathering Areas

Residents from various areas of Bahrain, including Diraz, Karbabad, Al-Mukhair, Abu Sabea, Samahij, Karana, Al-Hajar, Shahrakan, and Sitra Island, took to the streets to express their support for the detained scholars. These gatherings are interpreted as a sign of public dissatisfaction with the Bahraini government's policies towards religious scholars and religious freedoms.

Movement Towards a Day of "People's Anger"

These protests also align with the readiness of grassroots groups to hold a day of "People's Anger" in protest against the trial of religious scholars. This day is seen as an opportunity to express the dissatisfaction and demands of the people of Bahrain from the government, and it seems to have transformed into a broader movement for the defense of human rights and religious freedoms.

In recent years, Bahrain has witnessed political and social tensions, and the detention of religious scholars can be viewed as part of the repressive policies of the Al Khalifa regime. Analysts believe that this type of repression could lead to increased public dissatisfaction and a rise in protest movements.

Currently, many people in Bahrain are concerned about the political and social future of their country, and holding protest gatherings has been presented as a tool to express these concerns and draw global attention to the human rights situation in the country.
