HH Sayyid Bilal Al-Rab bin Haidar Al-Saeed, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, attended the Oman Youth Day ceremony held annually on October 26. The event took place at the Youth Center in the Muscat Governorate.
The Slogan "Determination" and Its Goals
This year's slogan, titled "Determination," reflects the will and motivation of Omani youth who have gained values of resilience and courage from their homeland and apply these values in their lives and choices to shape their future. This slogan also embodies a generation that is not content with merely inheriting the legacy of their ancestors but is determined to build upon it and continue the process of construction and achievements in line with the aspirations of the Sultanate of Oman for the future.
Programs and Agreements
The ceremony began with a tour of the Youth Center facilities and a meeting with several successful and pioneering youth. This was followed by a youth speech and a visual presentation reviewing the work, efforts, and outstanding initiatives of this center over the past five years. The ceremony also announced the launch of branch software for the center in the Dhofar and Musandam governorates.
The event included the signing of 7 agreements with public and private institutions. An agreement was signed with the OQ Group to finance the main branch of the Youth Center in Muscat Governorate worth 20 million Omani Rials. This agreement will help develop an integrated environment for nurturing the energies and creativity of youth.
Additionally, an agreement was signed with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel), and ETCO Space as a strategic partner. An investment agreement was also signed with Oman India Fertilizer Company (OMIFCO) and a logistics agreement with Premium Motor Company.
The ceremony also included honoring several supporters and active institutions in the youth sector from various entities. This year marks five years since the opening of the Youth Center, which continues to implement programs and initiatives aimed at developing youth skills and enhancing their capabilities in various fields, including innovation and entrepreneurship.
