Raysut Industrial City, affiliated with the Public Authority for Industrial Estates "Madayn", received 27 investment requests in the first half of 2026 and localized 9 new projects with a total value of 6.55 million Omani Rials. These projects cover a total area of 32,702.8 square meters and include several sectors such as food industries, iron production, mineral industries, and services.
Development and Employment in Raysut Industrial City
Hamid bin Ali Bait Saeed, the acting general manager of Raysut Industrial City, announced that by the end of the first half of 2026, the total accumulated investment in this city has reached over 521 million Omani Rials. This city currently provides employment for 3,681 employees, including 1,582 Omanis, and its Omanization rate has exceeded 44 percent.
Future Development Plans
Raysut Industrial City currently covers an area of over 3,994,141 square meters, with the occupancy rate of developed areas reaching about 98 percent. The city aims to expand to an area of up to 10,053,468 square meters. Additionally, "Madayn" continues to implement several development projects and improve basic services in Raysut Industrial City, which includes providing water and sewage services for phases 2 and 3, as well as preparing studies and comprehensive plans for future expansions.
Several approved projects will soon commence, including the expansion and development of infrastructure for new areas, the establishment of the Madayn Entrepreneurship Complex, and a project to enhance the city's security systems. These projects are expected to help Raysut Industrial City attract new investment requests and strengthen its competitiveness.
Raysut Industrial City is strategically located about 4 kilometers from Salalah Port and 15 kilometers from Salalah Airport. This location provides access to markets in Africa and Asia, as well as proximity to the Yemeni market, bringing competitive advantages in exports and logistics. This area has created an attractive environment for food and pharmaceutical industries in Dhofar Governorate.
The management of this complex is currently working with several partners to explore investment opportunities in supply chains related to the medical sector and also a project to establish a cluster for food industries.
