Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, commented in an Arabic message on the X platform regarding his recent discussions with Al Jazeera. He emphasized that Iran has no hostility towards the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and stressed the importance of diplomatic dialogues in this regard.

Appreciation for the Positive Role of Qatar and Oman

Araghchi continued by appreciating the positive role of Qatar and Oman in creating a diplomatic atmosphere and facilitating dialogues between Iran and other Gulf countries. According to him, these countries have acted as mediators that can help improve relations and reduce tensions. The Iranian Foreign Minister also emphasized that diplomacy and constructive dialogues can contribute to the stability and security of the region.

Continuation of Dialogues with Saudi Arabia

Araghchi also referred to the continuation of dialogues with Saudi Arabia, stating that these discussions should continue to achieve sustainable and effective solutions. He clarified that these dialogues would benefit all countries in the region and could help resolve existing crises.

These statements come at a time when relations between Iran and the Gulf countries, especially Saudi Arabia, have been affected by political and military tensions in recent years. However, Araghchi emphasized that Iran has always sought friendly and constructive relations with its neighbors and considers establishing peace and security in the region a priority.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also stressed the need to end the military presence of foreigners in the Gulf, stating that this presence not only does not contribute to increasing tensions but, on the contrary, can lead to insecurity and instability in the region. Araghchi believes that regional countries should take responsibility for their own security and avoid foreign interventions.
