The travel issues for Iranian football representatives in Asian competitions have now reached Gol Gohar Sirjan. The Iranian representative in the AFC Champions League 2 is set to face Al-Muharraq of Bahrain on Wednesday, October 14, but a significant part of the team's travel plans has not yet been finalized.

Visa Issuance and Administrative Challenges

According to the latest information, the visas for the Gol Gohar team members to enter Bahrain have still not been issued, and the final response to the club's request for entry into Manama has not been provided to the team's officials. The recent closure of offices in Bahrain has also delayed administrative follow-ups, making travel planning more difficult.

Efforts for Direct Travel and Potential Problems

Gol Gohar officials are working to arrange direct travel from Tehran to Bahrain; an option that could significantly reduce the complexities of the trip. However, until the necessary permits are issued and the flight status is clarified, this route is not confirmed.

The issue for Gol Gohar is not limited to ticket procurement, as the club must simultaneously clarify visa status, entry permits, and flight routes. If a direct flight is not arranged, the possibility of using alternative routes arises; a route that could increase travel time and necessary coordination.

Previously, Gol Gohar had corresponded with the Asian Football Confederation regarding the existing conditions and requested to hold the match at a neutral venue, but this request was not approved by the AFC. Now, the Iranian representative must find a practical solution for attending Bahrain.

In such circumstances, choosing an alternative route depends on flight statuses, ticket availability, and obtaining necessary permits. Any indirect route also means increased transfer time and complicating the team's preparation schedule.

This uncertainty could also affect the preparation plans of Mehdi Rahmati's players; as the time of departure, travel duration, player rest, and the possibility of holding training before the match all depend on clarifying the travel situation as soon as possible.

The problem for Gol Gohar has arisen while Esteghlal and Tractor have also faced similar flight restrictions for their Asian travels. Tractor is pursuing arrangements for a direct flight to Oman, while Esteghlal is doing the same for their trip to Qatar, and Tractor has also corresponded with the AFC and the Iranian ambassador in Oman regarding this matter.

If a direct flight is not arranged, the Istanbul route has been proposed as one of the alternative options for the Iranian representatives; a route that will naturally require more time and coordination.

Gol Gohar must prepare for the match against Al-Muharraq while the status of its travel to Bahrain remains unclear. The club's most pressing expectation is to determine the visa statuses and obtain the necessary permits for entry into Bahrain so that it can finalize its travel and preparation plans as soon as possible.
