The Metropolitan Police of London announced that during the demonstration held on Saturday in support of Palestine Action in front of the United States Embassy in London, 325 individuals were arrested for expressing support for a banned organization under anti-terrorism laws. This demonstration was described as a "collective action" and took place before a two-day session of the UK Supreme Court regarding the UK government's decision to ban this group.
Ban on Palestine Action
The UK government banned the group Palestine Action in July 2025 under anti-terrorism laws. This decision follows the classification of this group as a terrorist organization. The United States also recognized Palestine Action as "terrorist" in August of the same year, and these bans have faced significant criticism.

This ban prevents Palestine Action from freely conducting its activities, and supporting this group has become a crime punishable by up to 14 years in prison. According to activists and police statistics, since the imposition of this ban, over 4,000 individuals, including many elderly people and Holocaust survivors, have been arrested for expressing support for this group.
Police Response and Ongoing Investigations
The Metropolitan Police of London stated: "In total, 325 people were arrested yesterday, of which 320 were for expressing support for a banned organization under terrorism law." Additionally, in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, several protesters gathered in support of Palestine Action, but no arrests were made there.
Police Scotland announced that investigations are ongoing to identify individuals who were holding t-shirts and banners supporting this banned organization. This agency also emphasized that evidence is being reviewed and further actions will be taken if necessary.
The recent demonstration in London has attracted significant attention from many media outlets and human rights organizations due to existing political and social sensitivities, and it seems that this issue will remain in the spotlight in the coming days.
