Asfar Hamran Khamis, an Omani designer and owner of the fashion house "Litchi Dhofar", participated in the fifteenth edition of the fashion week in the city of Malaga, Spain. This event featured designers and fashion brands from Spain and other parts of the world.

Showcasing Traditional Clothing with a Contemporary Approach

The participation of the Omani fashion house "Litchi Dhofar" marks the first appearance of an Omani fashion house at this event and is also the third participation of an Arab designer. At this event, a collection of designs inspired by traditional Omani clothing with Dhofari characteristics was showcased. These designs were presented with rich colors, beautiful embroidery, and aesthetic details in a contemporary view that preserves the identity and characteristics of traditional clothing.

Important Role in Introducing Omani Culture

Khamis stated that his presence at Malaga Fashion Week is a significant milestone in the journey of his fashion house, and he expressed pride in representing Oman and introducing an aspect of Dhofari fashion to international audiences. He described the collection "Al-Ahad" as a responsibility to present Omani fashion in a manner worthy of the heritage of this country and as an opportunity to showcase the richness of Omani culture and its fashion traditions.

Khamis noted that as the first Omani fashion designer to participate in this showcase, he has gained more motivation to promote Omani fashion in international forums and intends to introduce elements of his country's heritage to a broader audience while preserving their identity and unique characteristics.

The participation of this fashion house in Malaga follows its previous appearances in Moscow and Abu Dhabi, marking it as its third international platform. Through this international collaboration, the fashion house "Litchi Dhofar" aims to promote designs inspired by traditional Omani fashion while addressing contemporary interpretations, showcasing the colors, intricate details, and traditional motifs of Dhofari clothing.

This presence also helps to introduce the cultural and aesthetic diversity of Oman and promote elements of its traditional heritage to international audiences.
