Abdullah Al Rawahi, the young Omani rally champion, participates in the fifth round of the Jordan National Rally held at the Dead Sea with high spirits on Friday. After securing first place in the previous round of this rally, he joins the competition with his Jordanian co-driver, Atta Al Hamoud, in a Škoda Fabia R5. Al Rawahi is striving to get accustomed to the car and improve his skills through these competitions.
Participation in the Jordan National Rally for Experience
Due to security concerns in the region, Abdullah Al Rawahi was unable to participate in the 2026 International Rally of Lebanon, and thus decided to take part in the Jordan National Rally to gain more experience with his new car. He believes that this experience will help him adapt the car to his technical needs and also acquire the necessary dynamics and balance for future rallies. This allows him to achieve strong and significant results in upcoming competitions and compensate for his absence in the Lebanon Rally.
The Importance of Rally Events for Al Rawahi
Regarding his participation in the Jordan National Rally, Al Rawahi emphasized that such events are very important for him to take advantage of opportunities and identify the strengths of the car. He also mentioned the need to make necessary adjustments after each race, especially since this car is new and has not participated in many races this year, requiring continuous development and proper tuning for each competition. Al Rawahi also hopes to achieve the championship title in this round just like the previous round.
