Abdulrahman Moradzadeh, the Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency of Bushehr Province, emphasized the necessity of utilizing the scientific and specialized capacities of research centers in the province for research and protection of the marine environment during his visit to the Persian Gulf Oceanography Institute in Bushehr on Tuesday morning. This visit was an opportunity for him to tour various sections of the institute, including the library, laboratory, and research departments, and to become familiar with the capabilities of this organization in the field of marine studies.
Strengthening Research Collaborations
During this visit, Moradzadeh referred to previous collaborations between the Environmental Protection Agency of Bushehr Province and the Persian Gulf Oceanography Institute, stressing the need to develop joint collaborations. He added: "The development of these collaborations can pave the way for greater utilization of the facilities, specialized knowledge, and scientific experiences of the institute in implementing new environmental projects and programs."

During this meeting, the existing capacities for implementing joint research projects and conducting marine monitoring were reviewed. Moradzadeh, in discussions with experts and faculty members of the institute, emphasized the necessity of interaction and collaboration between the Environmental Protection Agency of Bushehr Province and the Persian Gulf Oceanography Institute for the protection, monitoring, and preservation of the marine ecosystem of the Persian Gulf, stating: "This interaction can significantly contribute to the flow and enhancement of scientific research in the field of the marine environment."
Given the environmental challenges facing the Persian Gulf, establishing and strengthening scientific and research collaborations is of high importance. These collaborations can help identify and solve environmental issues and lay the groundwork for the preservation and protection of the natural and environmental resources of this region.
