Google and Glance have initiated a new collaboration to deliver an AI-based shopping and product discovery experience to Android TVs in India, the United States, and Japan. The goal of this partnership is to transform TVs into interactive platforms that inspire lifestyle and online shopping.
Interactive Experience for Users
This collaboration enables users to discover various products, including fashion, home decor, travel, food, and health, through their Android TVs. The experience is designed to turn TVs into a platform for product discovery during idle times. Users can choose between Google's default background and an ambient display screen powered by Glance.

Naveen Tiwari, CEO and founder of InMobi and Glance, stated that this collaboration helps TVs go beyond their traditional use. He said, "We are moving towards a new era where TVs are not just passive screens. By combining the scale of Google's Android TV ecosystem with Glance's AI-driven business models, we are turning the living room into a space where inspiration and intent meet."
The new experience includes an AI-powered shopping assistant that connects product discovery between mobile phones and TVs. This system, through multiple integrations with retailers, helps users discover selected products and easily make purchases through retail partners. Additionally, users will be able to view high-quality content across various lifestyle categories.
Another feature called "Shop the Look" allows users to interact with selected looks displayed on the TV screen and purchase products through integrated retail partners.
This collaboration is expected to expand Glance's distribution through Google's Android TV ecosystem. Glance already has partnerships with Airtel and DirecTV, and this recent collaboration extends its reach to Android TVs supported in the United States, India, and Japan.
For Google, this integration helps enhance the functionality of the Android TV platform, turning it into an interactive lifestyle hub. For Glance, it is an opportunity to bring its AI-driven shopping experience to more homes.
Glance is now available on supported Android TV devices in these three markets.
