The meeting of the oil ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council member countries is being held today, Monday, in Bahrain. In this meeting, the ministers will discuss ways to strengthen joint cooperation in the oil and energy sector, as well as a regional emergency plan for petroleum products.

Programs Under Review at the Meeting

In this meeting, files and programs related to the development of cooperation among member countries in the energy sector, as well as recommendations presented by committees and specialized groups, will be reviewed. These actions are aimed at enhancing cooperation and economic productivity in the oil and energy industry.

Previous Actions of Deputy Ministers

The deputies of the ministries of oil and gas of the Gulf Cooperation Council member countries also discussed planning for the regional emergency plan for petroleum products on September 28. This plan includes the formation of a committee for planning, coordination, and follow-up, supporting member countries' participation in upcoming energy conferences, and reviewing issues related to cooperation and joint activities in the energy sector.

This meeting takes place during the twentieth preliminary meeting for the 37th meeting of the Oil Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. These meetings continuously seek to create coordination and collaboration among member countries to address the existing challenges in the oil and energy industry.

Given the importance of this meeting, it is expected that the decisions made will lead to improvements in economic capabilities and energy sustainability in the region. Cooperation in this area can not only lead to greater productivity but also strengthen diplomatic and economic relations among the Gulf Cooperation Council member countries.
