Hamad Arti, a Kuwaiti musician and multidisciplinary artist, has always experienced creativity as an inseparable part of his life. From playing on household items in childhood to producing music, making films, and creating 3D animations, art has always flowed in his life. Arti says, "I never knew that creativity was a label until others described me this way."

Artistic Experiences and Inspirations

From a young age, Arti nurtured his love for art by experimenting with rhythm and making films using his father's video camera. He also wrote comic books with his childhood friend Youssef Yassin. These experiences helped him get closer to the world of music and art.

His influences are not limited to traditional musicians. Video games like Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles played a significant role in shaping his composing skills. Arti also mentions the influence of Youssef Yassin and Khalid Al-Mansour (Greyfish) in developing his sound.

Innovative Projects and Artistic Identity

Arti has recently focused on projects where his personal artistic identity is not a priority. He describes his music as emotional, unconventional, and sometimes humorous, believing that each project requires attention and precision in a different way. His recent album titled Spellbound is a deep and personal experience that addresses themes of love and loss.

This album initially included 21 songs, but due to a technical accident, the number was reduced to 9. Arti recalls how after returning from a trip to Finland, he discovered that his computer would no longer turn on and all his recorded files were lost. However, he managed to rescue some songs and re-record his works through renewed effort.

In line with developing the independent music community in Kuwait, he is launching a platform to introduce the underground artists of the country. He believes that creating a central hub for connecting with artists and sharing their works can help increase the visibility of these talents.
