Oman, with its cultural and natural diversity, offers significant investment opportunities for young entrepreneurs. Local resources such as cultural heritage, natural landscapes, agricultural resources, and seasonal tourism provide a suitable platform for innovative businesses that contribute to economic diversification and job creation.

Transformation in Local Projects

Shatha bint Nasser Al-Subhi, CEO of Manfath Design and Programming, believes that the geographical and cultural diversity of Oman creates favorable conditions for youth investment projects. She mentioned the development of the Al-Aqr neighborhood in Nizwa under the World Heritage project, stating that this project helps convert traditional buildings into modern tourist destinations while preserving their architectural identity.

Such initiatives can create opportunities for youth in tourism, hospitality, and related services. Additionally, desert tourism has high potential through the establishment of camps and rest points that showcase Oman's natural attractions.

Government Support and Sustainable Development

Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Mundhiri, founder and CEO of Ruwad Al-Itqan, emphasized the importance of effectively utilizing government support, stating that institutions and business development programs can assist entrepreneurs. He referred to the funding opportunities provided by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Fund and the Oman Development Bank.

Training programs and consultations offered by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (Riyadah) also help entrepreneurs achieve technical and administrative guidance. Facilitating licensing processes and government funding opportunities can assist small and medium enterprises in securing contracts and expanding their activities.

Khadija bint Nasser Al-Abri, founder of the Shua'a Al-Fikr Foundation, emphasized the importance of practical experience, passion, and determination in establishing a business. She pointed out the challenges of accessing capital at the start and stated that effective management and coordination among stakeholders are key factors for creating sustainable businesses.

Finally, Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Hosni, CEO of Tatronic Middle East Technical Services, stated that entrepreneurship should be evaluated not only based on individual success but also on its impact on the national economy and society. He emphasized that research and development are an integral part of his company's approach and contribute to strengthening local supply chains and supporting Oman 2040 goals in economic diversification.
