Iran has conducted over 115 missile and drone attacks on American bases in the Persian Gulf using complex operational tactics. These attacks have caused damage or destruction to structures at 26 military bases and other locations containing American equipment.

Impact on US Military Presence

According to obtained information, Iran initially focused on aircraft hangars and incoming attack detection systems at the start of these attacks. These actions were aimed at paving the way for subsequent attacks on warehouses, troop housing, and other facilities. Two regional officials stated that these damages have significantly altered the status of the US presence in the Middle East and led to the withdrawal of a large portion of US military assets from the region.

Details of Damages and Consequences

Reports indicate that these assets include aircraft, air defense systems, communication systems, and other vital equipment for base operations. This situation raises questions about the defensive capabilities of the United States in the region. If hostilities resume, further damages to these bases are likely, reinforcing the uncertainty of whether the US will decide to rebuild its bases and equipment in the future.

According to assessments, during the period from April 1 to June 30, Iranian attacks caused damage or destruction to hundreds of buildings and other structures at US bases. The US Central Command, which oversees operations in the Middle East, has refrained from providing details about the damages incurred at the bases, usually citing the necessity of maintaining "operational security" as the reason.

Analyses indicate that most of Iran's attacks against US positions have occurred in Kuwait. The "Ali Al-Salem" airbase in Kuwait was targeted at least 30 times, resulting in damage or destruction to at least 15 aircraft hangars, multiple warehouses, and 10 buildings near a residential area. Additionally, the Buhring camp in Kuwait also suffered significant damages, primarily affecting troop gathering locations.

Iran's tactics indicate careful planning and strategic targeting to damage US military infrastructure. Rafael Cohen, director of the National Security Program at the "Rand School of Public Policy," stated that these attacks could be a wake-up call for the United States and should be given special attention.
