Nama Water Services has achieved 100% Omanization with the aim of strengthening national human capital, creating 1,188 permanent job opportunities for Omanis through employment initiatives related to training.

Human Development and Omanization Programs

These initiatives reflect the company's commitment to developing national capabilities in line with Oman 2040 and are designed to ensure the presence of skilled professionals for managing and operating the country's water and wastewater infrastructure.

Taqi bin Mohammed Al-Lafiti, the Human Resources and Culture CEO at Nama Water Services, stated that the company follows an integrated approach to employee development, focusing on professional certifications, specialized training, and on-the-job learning. He also emphasized that achieving 100% Omanization has been accompanied by expanding training and empowerment programs in various fields.

Operational Programs and Job Opportunities

Among the company's key programs is the "Tazeez" program, which offers graduates one year of practical training and financial assistance. This program combines academic knowledge with work experience and helps participants develop technical, managerial, and personal skills.

Additionally, Nama Water Services has collaborated with the Chinese company HCIG to provide specialized training for 100 employees in four different groups. This program includes project management, design, planning, artificial intelligence, and customer service, and also includes field visits to advanced water and wastewater facilities.

Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Naimi, the Operations and Maintenance CEO at Nama Water Services, stated that the company has collaborated with supporting companies to align job opportunities with specialized qualifications and operational needs. He clarified that Omanization in operations and maintenance contracts awarded to supporting companies has increased from about 55% to 90%.

These opportunities were announced in three phases, including 479 jobs in the first phase, 406 in the second, and 303 in the third phase. Currently, the selection and evaluation stages for applicants in the third phase are underway.

Al-Naimi emphasized that these programs go beyond job creation and focus on developing national expertise in facility operations, network management, and infrastructure maintenance. These actions help expand job opportunities for Omani youth across the provinces and strengthen local content.

Integrated programs that include student training, graduate development, recruitment, and leadership preparation aim to ensure that investments in water infrastructure create sustainable economic and social benefits while enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of essential services.
