North Korea showcased its advanced drone and missile systems in a public display. Kim Jong Un, the leader of the country, emphasized the necessity of establishing "absolute superiority" in drone technology during the event. This event took place on Thursday alongside an exhibition of unmanned aerial technologies.
Introduction of New Technologies
According to news sources, the exhibition included various types of drones and combat systems. During this event, a 600mm multiple rocket launcher named "Sniper" was displayed for the first time. Kim stated in his speech that there is a strong need to expand and strengthen the country's unmanned aerial capabilities.

In this display, suicide attack drones, cruise missiles, and multipurpose drones were utilized. Reports indicate that these systems successfully targeted hypothetical objectives and claimed 100% accuracy in striking targets.
Military and Political Implications
Images released from this display show more than 10 600mm rocket launchers firing simultaneously. The display also included missile launches from drones and suicide drones attacking targets identified as South Korean border posts and U.S. M1 Abrams tanks.
Kim Jong Un further stated, "Power means peace, and peace can only be guaranteed by power. This is an obvious matter that is essential for survival in today's noisy world." He also emphasized the need for the country's scientists to strive for remarkable results in the development of aerial technologies and artificial intelligence for national defense.
This missile launch marks North Korea's seventeenth missile launch this year, occurring just 17 days after the previous launch on October 12. A military official in Seoul stated that these launches likely included the large 600mm KN-25 launcher, which North Korea claims can be equipped with tactical nuclear warheads Hwasan-31.
Although this exhibition and weapon tests were conducted in specific locations, it appears that this event took place at the Wonsan-Kalma airport.
