Upon the arrival of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport in the capital of Botswana, President Duma Gideon Boko, as the head of the welcoming delegation, came to greet him at the foot of the ramp. The President of Botswana expressed deep happiness at this official visit and showed special respect for Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and his accompanying delegation. During this ceremony, a military salute was rendered in honor of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq with the firing of twenty-one guns.
