Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates National Guard rescued 22 Arab crew members after a fire broke out on a cargo ship in the Sea of Oman. All rescued individuals have been reported in stable condition.

Rescue Operation and Immediate Response

The rescue operation began after the ship's crew notified the coast guard unit that a fire had occurred inside the ship. The National Guard forces quickly responded to this report and, by activating emergency response methods, identified the ship and reached the incident location.

In a statement from the National Guard, it was mentioned: "A coast guard unit rescued 22 individuals of Arab nationalities after a fire broke out on a cargo ship." This action demonstrates the readiness and operational capability of the National Guard forces in responding to maritime incidents.

Emphasis on Maritime Security

The National Guard forces also emphasized that the coast guard's efforts are aimed at protecting human lives and enhancing maritime security and safety in the region. This operation showcases the high level of preparedness and field competence of the National Guard personnel and reflects their ongoing commitment to rapid response to maritime incidents.

The recent rescue operation is part of the United Arab Emirates' continuous efforts to respond to maritime incidents involving commercial vessels in this region. Earlier, on October 10, the UAE National Guard coast guard rescued 22 Asian citizens after a fire broke out on an oil tanker in the Persian Gulf. In that incident as well, the coast guard activated emergency methods, identified the ship, and rescued all crew members.

The survivors from both incidents were handed over to the relevant authorities after receiving first aid, and all of them were in stable condition.
