He stated, "I have read such speculations, but it should be noted that this is not a place for deal-making."
Rejection of Deal-Making Claims Between Russia and the USA
Lavrov noted that his American counterparts have never proposed such deals to Russia and that the Americans refrained from making such proposals because they understand well that engaging in such a policy is not Russia's way of working. These statements come as rumors of potential cooperation between the two countries in various fields are circulating.

Developments in the Persian Gulf and the Oman Meeting
The Russian Foreign Minister referred to recent developments in the Persian Gulf, stating, "I believe that progress will be made regarding Iran; progress that is mainly due to the efforts of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states and the Islamic Republic of Iran." Lavrov reminded that agreements have been reached between Iran and regional countries, especially Iraq, to hold a meeting in one of the cities in Oman. This meeting, which was supposed to take place soon, has been postponed, and Lavrov expressed that some countries are dissatisfied with the establishment of relations among the Gulf coastal states.
Results of American Negotiators on Middle Eastern Issues
In response to questions about the roles of Steve Vitkoff and Jared Kushner, American negotiators, Lavrov announced that none of the issues regarding Palestine, Ukraine, and Iran have reached a conclusion. He also referred to previous agreements regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stating, "The agreements reached in Islamabad opened doors, but those doors were immediately closed." This issue is due to the failure to fulfill the demand to stop hostilities against Lebanon, which is of great importance to Iran.
Challenges Facing Palestine and Israel
Lavrov referred to Trump's plan for Palestine, stating that this plan has been approved but is not progressing. He noted that the control of Israeli armed forces over 72 percent of the Gaza Strip has made the establishment of a unified and contiguous Palestinian state practically impossible. He also mentioned statements from senior Israeli officials who have said, "No Palestinian state will be formed" and referred to the impact of upcoming elections in Israel on the situation.
Continuation of the Ukraine War and Russia's Positions
Lavrov continued by emphasizing Russia's willingness to end the Ukraine conflict, saying, "If the USA had not withdrawn from the agreements made at the Alaska meeting regarding Ukraine, the war would have ended a year ago." He also referred to his plan to travel to New York and meet with Marco Rubio, the American Secretary of State, stating that Russia is ready to hold negotiations regarding Ukraine.
Ultimately, Lavrov stressed the necessity of efforts to achieve reasonable agreements and stated that he has never shied away from creating unofficial communication channels with European countries. These statements may indicate an increase in efforts to resolve regional and global crises.
