Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, the former Prime Minister of Qatar, made controversial statements declaring that Gulf countries should take advantage of the scheduled meeting on Monday with Iran and create a new framework for their relations with Tehran. He emphasized the importance of focusing on regional stability and economic cooperation in these negotiations.

Emphasis on Saudi Security and Regional Cohesion

Sheikh Hamad stated: "We must seriously pay attention to Saudi security, and Gulf countries must be united and resilient in this regard." He also pointed to the necessity of establishing direct dialogue with Iran, adding: "Only through dialogue and interaction can we achieve stability and security in the region."

These statements come as tensions in the Middle East have once again escalated, and the relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran are under significant pressure due to political and military disputes in Yemen and Syria. Sheikh Hamad emphasized that Gulf countries should seek a common strategy to face regional threats, and thus, establishing dialogue with Iran is a priority.

Economic Role in Diplomacy

Sheikh Hamad also stressed the importance of economic cooperation as a tool to strengthen relations between Gulf countries and Iran. He said: "Economic cooperation can act as a bridge and provide a better space for dialogue and negotiation." These statements reflect a new approach that some Gulf countries are pursuing to help reduce tensions through economic interactions.

In light of recent developments, it seems that diplomacy and direct dialogue with Iran could pave the way for solving regional problems, provided that Gulf countries achieve a strong alliance.
