Omani companies signed six trade agreements and memorandums of understanding with Bahraini companies. These agreements took place on the sidelines of the Sultanate of Oman's participation in the "Made in Gulf Cooperation Council 2026" exhibition and conference, reflecting the growing opportunities for trade cooperation between the two countries.

Efforts of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion

This initiative is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman, which acts on behalf of "Oman Export," to open new markets for Omani companies and transform foreign partnerships into export opportunities and sustainable business partnerships.

The signed agreements and Oman's participation in dialogue sessions are part of the ministry's efforts to maximize economic and knowledge returns from Oman's presence at regional and international economic exhibitions and gatherings. These actions also promote national industries and products, facilitate access for Omani companies to importers and distributors, and enable the exchange of experiences in the fields of industry, innovation, logistics services, and supply chains.

Specialized Sessions and Participation of Omani Experts

This exhibition also witnessed the presence of several Omani talents and experts in dialogue sessions that examined the future of the Gulf Cooperation Council industry, human resource development, transition to smart factories, and the development of supply chains and industrial collaborations.

Dr. Ayman bin Abdullah Al-Fadhli, CEO of the Industrial Innovation Academy, participated in a session titled "Smart Factories and Open Industrial Innovation." This session emphasized the role of advanced industrial technologies and smart factories in enhancing productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness, as well as strengthening innovation and collaboration between the industrial sector and research institutions.

In another session titled "Gulf Infrastructure and Supply Chains," Dr. Mahmoud bin Sakhi Al-Balushi, CEO of Al-Madina Logistics Services, explored ways to strengthen connectivity between industrial cities, economic zones, ports, and border points. This session also addressed the facilitation of customs processes and the movement of products between Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Hamid bin Salem Al-Harthi, Deputy CEO of the Development Bank, participated in a session titled "Financing Mechanisms and Industrial Partnerships," which examined the role of financial institutions, development funds, and partnerships in supporting the growth of the industrial sector and developing appropriate financing solutions.

Engineer Khalid bin Salim Al-Qasabi, Director General of Industry at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, stated that the agreements signed on the sidelines of the "Made in Gulf Cooperation Council 2026" exhibition demonstrate the growing capabilities of Omani industrial products to compete and access Gulf markets. He added that the diversity of agreements across several industrial sectors confirms the advancement of national industry capabilities in terms of quality, production, and meeting the needs of target markets.
