The Sultanate of Oman has opened investment opportunities to Japanese investors and companies in order to develop its agricultural sector. This initiative follows the visit of representatives from Oman's Ministry of Agricultural Wealth and Water Resources to Japan, where they became acquainted with the latest technologies and successful experiences of this country in agriculture.

Meetings and Visits in Japan

During this trip, the Omani representatives met with Oman's ambassador to Japan, Ms. Asilah bint Nasser Kiyumi. In this meeting, the parties discussed the cooperative relations between Oman and Japan and sought ways to strengthen this cooperation in the fields of agriculture and the transfer of Japanese knowledge and technologies to Oman. Additionally, the Omani representatives introduced the existing investment opportunities in the agricultural sector that could attract Japanese investments.

Developing Cooperation and Food Security

The Sultanate of Oman, as a country with high potential in the agricultural sector, has numerous facilities to attract foreign investments. This country is seeking to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors to achieve its food security and economic diversification goals. In this context, the program for the Omani representatives' trip includes meetings with institutions and companies specialized in agriculture in Japan, aimed at familiarizing themselves with the experiences and modern techniques of this country.

Given the current state of the global market and the need to ensure food security, Oman is striving to improve its agricultural situation by enhancing international cooperation, especially with countries like Japan. These collaborations will not only aid in the transfer of knowledge and technology but will also lead to the creation of new investment and employment opportunities.
