The international conference titled 'Studies in Children's Literature' began today in the Wilayat of Sohar, North Al Batinah Governorate. This two-day conference is organized by Sohar University in collaboration with the Omani Writers and Literature Association.

Conference Goals and Research Themes

Dr. Ali bin Salem Al-Munai, the chairman of the organizing committee, stated that this event aims to raise public awareness about the importance of scientific and cultural research, preserve national memory, revive heritage, and strengthen intergenerational communication. Another goal of this conference is to encourage researchers and innovative talents to enhance communication channels with the community.

He added, "The diverse themes of the 35 specialized research papers presented at this conference reflect the interdisciplinary nature of literature, which includes the interests of children and youth. This field actually lies at the intersection of language, literature, education, culture, identity, memory, science, and technology." This event provides a broad platform for scientific discussions and the exchange of ideas and experiences among researchers and specialists.

Presence of Prominent Figures

The conference is held under the patronage of Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al-Hinai, the Governor of Sohar. This conference is considered an important platform for exchanging information and experiences in the field of children's and youth literature, providing many opportunities for researchers and writers.

Children's and youth literature, as one of the sensitive and important areas in societal cultural development, requires special attention and scientific research. This conference can help provide solutions to improve the quality of children's and youth literature in Oman and beyond.
