Awards and Participation Conditions for the Festival
The festival management has allocated cash and incentive awards for winners in various artistic categories. In addition, each artistic element in the narrative competition will receive separate awards, including directing, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, composing, and acting for both men and women. A special award will also be given for the best film produced using artificial intelligence technologies.
Anwar bin Khamis Al-Rawahi, President of the Oman Film Society, stated that the goal of holding this festival is to encourage the filmmaking industry in Oman and support individuals working in this field. He also emphasized the importance of developing all creative and artistic elements that contribute to the success of a film.
The conditions for participating in the festival stipulate that works must be new productions completed in 2025 and 2026, with a duration of 3 to 35 minutes. Additionally, films must have English subtitles, and the final version must be submitted in high quality (Full HD 1080p) in MOV or MP4 format via a downloadable online link.
The Oman Film Society also announced that the deadline for submissions will continue until November 1, 2026, and has invited Omani filmmakers to take advantage of this national platform to showcase their creativity.
