Sultan Haitham bin Tariq arrived today (Friday) in the Republic of Angola at the invitation of the President of Angola, João Manuel Lourenço. This official visit will last for two days and aims to strengthen the relations between the two countries and explore areas of joint cooperation.
Official Reception at the Airport
The Sultan of Oman was officially welcomed at Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport in the capital of Angola, Luanda, by Téte António, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Reception Committee. After his arrival, the Sultan of Oman shook hands with the members of the reception committee and passed between two rows of honor guards.

Travel Plans and Meetings
On Saturday, an official welcome ceremony for Sultan Haitham bin Tariq will be held at the Presidential Palace located in Luanda. During this ceremony, the Sultan of Oman will meet with the President of Angola, João Manuel Lourenço, to discuss bilateral issues and regional topics. This meeting is seen as an important opportunity to explore economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
The Sultan of Oman is accompanied on this trip by a high-ranking delegation that includes several senior government and military officials. Among the members of this delegation are Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Royal Court; and General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office. Additionally, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Sultan's Private Office, are also present on this trip.
This visit is considered a significant step towards strengthening the historical and friendly relations between Oman and Angola. The two countries have always sought to expand their cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment, and culture.
