The Sultanate of Oman, as one of the countries supporting peace and stability in the region, has strongly condemned the continued Israeli occupation of Golan and the repeated aggressions of this country against Syria. This stance was expressed in the speech of Ambassador Idris bin Abdul Rahman Al-Khanjari, Oman’s permanent representative to the United Nations, at the 63rd session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Condemnation of the Occupation of Golan and Israeli Aggressions
The Omani ambassador at this meeting, referring to the recent aggressions of Israel against Syrian territory, emphasized the necessity of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this country. He stated: "The Sultanate of Oman expresses its dissatisfaction with the continued occupation of Syrian Golan and emphasizes the importance of adhering to the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter to maintain peace and security." These remarks come as Oman had previously reiterated on September 18 its firm position that Golan is Syrian territory.

Call for Adherence to International Laws
The Sultanate of Oman has also called on all countries to respect international laws and decisions related to human rights and to contribute to maintaining peace and unity in the region. Israeli aggressions, including bombings, abductions, and human rights violations against civilians, have led to serious concerns at the international level. The international community must respond to these violations and defend the rights of the Syrian people.
The Sultanate of Oman has always been recognized as a supporter of diplomacy and dialogue in resolving crises in the region and has declared its firm position in support of Syrian sovereignty. This country emphasizes the importance of international cooperation to uphold human rights and establish peace in the region.
